Makeup/Hair cut

I decided I was going to get my hair cut today. I figured I'm 25 now and need a new style. I told the girl to do whatever she wanted, (we all know I made a mistake doing that in FL... but I never learn) just make it cute. She kept the length and gave me layers and shaped the front. It's nothing new and exciting. It's good enough for me. :) I'm so pale... there is hardly a difference between me and the closet! How many more months am I in NJ? :(
After getting my haircut I went to a friends and played Skipbo. After speading a couple hours there, I went to the gym. I then decided to buy new shoes for running. I went to the mall and started looking for a yellowish gold shirt for church tomorrow... to wear with a black skirt. I'm all about the Steelers baby! :) That lead to looking for shirts and pants for the boys and then Victoria's Secret for body spray... you get the point. I ended up in Lord & Taylor at the Clinic counter. Letecia did my make up for me, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but ended up spending WAY WAY WAY too much money on makeup! You can't really notice in the photo but 1/2 of my face is one foundation etc and the other half is done different. I went with the stuff on my right.  Now, I have to stay pale so I can use the makeup. I guess that means I'll have better skin when I'm older, right? :) In the end, I didn't end up buying shoes. I spend more money on makeup then I would've on shoes! Eh, I'll just tell myself it's for my birthday! :)
It was a good Saturday... just spent too much money! :(

25 Things about ME! Not the same as Facebook's

1. I already did this in Facebook but decided to post 25 different things on here.
2. I love ice and water or both! I named every baby doll as a child Ice Cube.
3. I have to pee constantly and am really annoyed by it. Twice within 5 minutes is ridiculous!
4. I love the Steelers! I consider watching football on Sundays a family activity.
5. I was an intern as a probation officer and loved it! I also worked in a drug rehab for juveniles... didn't enjoy it.
6. My sister and I are not twins but we are both 25. She will turn 26 in 2 months.
7. I am supposed to run a 1/2 marathon in April.
8. I love the smell of good cologne. A guy's cuteness factor will be raised a couple points just because he smells good!
9. I can not stand the sound of someone breathing loud or chewing with their mouth open. Even worse when done together.
10. I wrote 01. for 10. My 8th grade english teacher told me I was dyslexic. I'm not dyslexic.
11. I want to visit all 50 states.
12. I can not wait to move out West!
13. I've been to an AA meeting. My name is Alana Hapach and I'm here for a class assignment.
14. My favorite college classes were Alternative Agriculture (I planted a garden) and Ice Skating.
15. I hate doing the dishes if there isn't a dish washer! I also hate putting away clothes! If a room is messy I do not like being in it.
16. I miss having friends around constantly. I really hope that my neighbors, when I'm all grown up, are good friends.
17. When I'm nervous or uncomfortable, my ears will turn bright red and my chest gets blotchy.
18. I'm a horrible speller! Also horrible at memorizing faces and names.
19. I told myself that I had to wear my glasses every day after running over a HUGE LOG! I did not listen. They're always crooked. I think one ear is higher than the other.
2o. I've never had a speeding ticket. I have been pulled over for speeding. The day before I was pulled over, my brother-in-law said he had no clue how I've never been pulled over for speeding.
21. I wish I weren't too scared to go after what I want.
22. My middle name is Maree.
23. I'm very excited about having a family. I always said I want to start having kids by 27....
24. I'm long winded and horrible at telling stories!
25. Today is my 25th birthday! :) My favorite cake is Funfetti! :) Jr high and high school I always got a Pepbridge Farm frozen coconut cake... EVERY YEAR I told them I do not like this cake!

Now it's your turn! If you read this ... DO IT!
26. I love knowing random facts about people! :)

Turning 25

I've always thought it was crazy when people were upset about turning 30 or 40 etc. My sister started complaining she was old around 22. I've never thought to ask why. This week, my birthday has been weighing on me. I don't feel old. I just feel like I'm turning 25 and doing nothing with my life. I could've had my masters by now, if only I went onto grad school right away. In a way, I'm glad I didn't because I'm still not positive about what career I want to pursue. I might have picked something I hated. I at least know, Sociology/Criminology fields are not exactly what I want to spend the next 20/30 years doing.
I chose to move to NJ to have time to figure out what I wanted in life. So far, I'm not anywhere close to where I wish I were. I've been here 9 months and  am still not positive. There are certain things that I know I want. Other things, I want but I'm not sure how to get there. Right now, thanks to some friends, I'm working on knowing the basics to a possible career choice. It's exciting and I have a positive outlook.
I must admit, I've never been one to work hard to get something I want. I assume, a lot of times it's a big deal for high schoolers to choose their college and degree. I had no choice but to go to OU. I'm glad that I went there but didn't have to make the decision. My junior year, we had to write a report about a certain field that we would like to enter into. I chose Criminology because I wanted to be in the FBI. OU had Sociology/Criminology. (I did do accounting classes my first quarter but then decided to stick with Sociology/Criminology.) What happened to my dream of being in the FBI? I assumed it was not likely so I didn't even try to go for it.  If I like someone, I don't do what I can to "win him over". 90% of the time the guy prob. has no clue. Needless to say, I'm 25 and still very single. I'm sure the list could go on.
I seem not to learn from my mistakes. I always hope for things to happen but don't give 100%. I should've, and still could, made give 100% of an effort for everything. (should've, could've, would've) I still have more time in NJ to figure things out and hopefully learn from my mistakes. I'm really hoping 25 is a great year for me. (There I go hoping again, I told you I never learn.) If not, I'll just hope on 26! I guess, it's at least a good thing I recognize my faults.

1st time to the Temple!

On Saturday, we had a YSA Stake Temple trip. I had been trying to plan it for a couple of months but we didn't have enough people. Jayme really wanted to make it happen, so she took control and asked our wards (Princeton 1st and Princeton 2nd) if anyone would go with us. Jayme and I were the only two YSA in our stake who went.  Chad joined us but he is from another stake. Elder Small, Ben (a married guy), Chad and I did Baptisms. We made it work. Overall, it was a great experience and had a few, so to say, funny situations.
It's a bad picture, Chad wouldn't stop to let me take any, it was snowing and freezing outside! The one on the right is from the previous weekend... better.
After the temple, we saw Chad's friend Marcel. So, Chad, Marcel and I took the subway back to Penn Station. We didn't have to wait long until the next train departed. While we were sitting on the train, Chad got a call from Christian asking where he was. Christian ended up joining us. We had to move to the very first seat on the train. It was the only thing open. Needless to say, it was a PACKED! Christian was able to get us all rides for free so I still had my ticket. Chad wanted to me join him at the YSA activity so now I had no excuses.
(The conductors were really funny. The one driving said, "The hospital let me out to drive the train but I have to go back." After that comment, the train hit a snow blower. No damage done to the train. Who leaves a snow blower too close to the train tracks?!)
Christian had to work, so he didn't join the three of us. We went to Chad's and then to the YSA ice cream social. I'm glad that I went. It ended up being a lot of fun! The only bad part, I'm not a fan of riding the train at night by myself.

Complain

I would just like to complain about EVERY THING! If I were to do that it would take too long and I must get my ZZZZs. So this is just a short venting session!
